It's the second consecutive win for Game of Thrones, at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on September 18th. The much-anticipated fantasy drama took home the most Outstanding Drama Series award on Sunday night.

In totality, the television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss bagged three titles this year including the Outstanding Director and Outstanding Writer award. While the popular drama series debuted last year with the record breaking 12 wins, this year the wins were numbered at three .

However, GOT's broadcasting channel, HBO, did not fail to impress this year too. The network held safe its second consecutive top position by amassing 22 total wins at the Emmy Awards 2016, while FX garnered 18. Netflix and PBS were placed at third and fourth position with 9 and 8 awards respectively.
