IOI's Kim Chung Ha is working hard to become a known face in Korean entertainment industry. The 21-year-old singer, who is currently seen shaking a leg in Mnet's dance reality show, recently opened about her desperation for success.
In the latest episode of Hit the Stage, the Ulsan born singer revealed that she was on the verge of quitting dancing before determination took over her mind. She elaborated: "My family suffered from poor circumstances, but I told my mom, 'I really want to do this and I am confident about it so please let me'. I wanted to keep doing it even if it made me a bad daughter."
Chung Ha, who is the product of singing reality show Produce IOI, further added that she wants to prove her decision right by making her parents proud. She continued: "That's why I'm sorry to them, and I need to succeed as soon as possible. That is also why this performance is important. I'm scared, but it is an opportunity to make myself more known to people."
Kim Chung Ha is one of the 11 members of the newly incepted dance reality show, Hit The Stage. It the Mnet television program, K-pop idols team up with professional dance teams to compete in a dance survival contest.
Hit The stage airs every Wednesday on Mnet and tvN at 11:00pm KST.
