Fans of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo feel that the duo is hiding their relationship from the world. The Descendants of the Sun are known as the #SongSong couple and has been trending across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
In the hit drama, Joong Ki played the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, and Hye Kyo reprised the role of a doctor named Kang Mo-Yeon. There have been constant reports that the two are dating.
During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the 30-year-old actor revealed that he is not comfortable talking about his love life. He said: "My dating style is not that special. But I have no plans to go public if I get into a relationship. I will do my best to preserve the emotion for the person that I like but I also want to keep it secret for that person."
Rumours that they are romantically involved started in March after the two were reportedly seen together in New York. Joong-ki's agency confirmed that the couple is not an item in real life. The statement from UAA Korea read: "Song Joong-ki is her good colleague with whom she's done a TV series together."
"She was on vacation in New York and Song Joong Ki happened to be there. They had a meal with other friends, and we cannot believe it has turned into a scandal. There is no need for us to consider it seriously. We will take it as a sign of fans' interests. That story has been going around for a long time now. Media outlets have asked us about it and we have told them many times that it is not true," the letter read.
