KBS's Music Bank has finally found the new replacement after the previous hosts -Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet's Irene announced their exit from the show. Reportedly, CNBLUE's Minhyuk and LABOUM's Solbin will take hold of the stage from next month.
On June 27, KBS News Time revealed the names with an introductory video. The duo seemed very happy and excited to grab their once in a lifetime opportunity.
Minhyuk stated: "A lot of people see it as a position that brings you to the gateway of stardom, so many want the position." While Solbin showed her determination to work hard in order to "become the mascot of Music Bank."
Meanwhile, Bo Gum and Irene emceed their last Music Bank episode on June 24. Apparently, both of the presenters decided to step down due to their tough schedules. Reports suggested that Bo Gum will start shooting for his upcoming drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, while Irene will get back to preparing for Red Velvet's summer comeback, after their culmination as Music Bank emcees.
In related news, both Bo Gum and Irene reminisced about the time well spent together at the KBS 2TV's Entertainment Weekly on June 25. When asked about their mind set on leaving the show, the duo seemed quite melancholic.
Bo Gum admitted: "I only feel upset. Not the kind that feels relieving, but just plain sadness."
While on the other side, Irene depicted similar feelings. She said: "It feels a little strange and out of place."
