Rachel Peters, who is representing Philippines at the upcoming Miss Universe 2017 contest, has criticised a person severely for leaking her evening gown photo on social media. The model slammed the person for leaking the photo on Instagram just days before the final pageant.
According to the user, designer Val Taguba has designed two gold gowns for Peters to wear at Miss Universe 2017 grand finale. This has irked Peter and she slammed the user on Instagram itself for sharing her picture.

She said: "To whoever leaked pictures of my evening gown, thank you for teaching me a lesson about being more careful who you trust. Not sure what your intentions were but no matter what, you're not dragging me down."
"At the end of the day, it's not about the dress you wear, how you walk or even the elements of surprise. What's important is that you are kind and true to yourself... that's when a girl truly shines," Peter's post added.
Miss Philippines is one of the most popular and favourite contestants this year and this incident may affect her appearance on the final day of the pageant as the outfit will no longer be a surprise. However, the designer will select only one gown for Miss Philippines out of those two leaked ones.
Peters will be competing with 89 other contestants to win the Miss Universe 2017 title. Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, who is from the Philippines, has said that Peters should win the crown this year.
"Like a lot of people have said, she is the perfect package. I don't think people have anything to worry about," Wurtzbach told Philstar.com. "I think she has her own identity. I mean, that's her advocacy. Her advocacy is celebrating self-identity," she said.
The 66th Miss Universe pageant is all set to be held on November 26 at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada. Miss Universe 2016 winner France's Iris Mittenaere will crown her successor at the event hosted by Steve Harvey.
