Samsung India has finally rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update on Galaxy J5 Prime devices. Packed alongside all of Nougat's native features is the Dual Messenger that Samsung offers exclusively to its own devices.
Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime devices in India have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update exactly a year after being launched. Nougat arrives with bug fixes and minor improvements in overall performance.

The devices also get all Nougat's native features under the hood. The Data Saver automatically reduces app activities running in the background once the phone's monthly data allowance is running low. Nougat also makes a reply option available across all incoming messages so users can immediately respond right when the message arrives without ever launching any apps.
Samsung's own Dual Messenger feature clones messaging applications in one platform, allowing users to log in more than one account. The update also comes with improvements to the user interface, multi-window, notifications and Quick Settings, among others.
The update should arrive over the air. To manually check the update, go to Settings > About Device > Download Updates Manually.
Samsung devices in India that have been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat include the Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy J7 (2016), Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017).
