The names of YG Entertainment's most anticipated girl band members will be out in the open soon. The company has officially announced that they will be introducing their mystery girls in a unique format of one member every week, starting from May 30.

While the officials of the entertainment company have remained tight-lipped about the band members, it has been stated that the upcoming girl group will be nothing like its previous four-girl band 2NE1.

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk told Allkpop: "They won't have the feel of being a second 2NE1 because they are slightly different. We're a little burdened because it's our first girl group in 7 years, but we're confident."

Hyn Suk also affirmed that the girls are quite talented and have been under rigorous training to showcase their worth. He said: "They've been training for a while, and their talents are proven. They've been trained like they were in the military."

Meanwhile, it is speculated that Jennie Kim and Kim Ji Soo are likely to debut with the upcoming band. According to Star News, both the girls have been confirmed and will be joining other girls in the band in July .

As per the media report, Jennie Kim and Kim Ji Soo are two familiar faces of YG Entertainment, and have been associated with the agency for the last five years.

Ji Soo appeared in Epik High's "Spoiler" MV and has starred in KBS 2TV drama 'Producers', while Jennie was seen in G-Dragon's "That XX" MV.
