Apple Inc on Saturday released the new App Store Review Guidelines with changes that would affect millions of its device owners. One particular adjustment is the ban of virus scanning apps from the store.
In hopes to maintain the image of iOS being a secure operating system, Apple has shoved third-party virus scanning apps out of the line. The Cupertino tech giant is also making the necessary defence to avoid anti-virus and security software developers from infiltrating the App Store.

Ever since, Apple has taken pride of its operating systems, both the iOS and macOS, as the safest in the world today. Despite that, a system-wide malware scanning app is believed to be in place.
However, critics are dubious of the execution of this new policy as there had been bans made before this but were able to get through the App Store. Some believe the specific type of banned apps are able to penetrate the store under the cover of a different name and description.
Apple reminds consistent offenders to beware because they will be met out the necessary action if proven guilty.
"If you attempt to cheat the system (for example, by trying to trick the review process, steal user data, copy another developer's work, or manipulate ratings) your apps will be removed from the store and you will be expelled from the Developer Program," reads the guidelines.
Meanwhile, Apple has noted that the App Store Review Guidelines is even more specific when it comes to the safety of juveniles, emphasising that children have to be protected from unsafe contents.
"We have lots of kids downloading lots of apps. Parental controls work great to protect kids. So know that we're keeping an eye out for the kids."
