Hwang Jung-eum is in high spirits after the first episode of Lucky Romance aired on 25 May. The debut episode of MBC's romcom reportedly recorded highest viewership of 10.3 percent, giving a remarkable kick start to the drama.
The 31-year-old, who is marking her comeback with Lucky Romance, treated her co-stars and cast members with a nice dinner to cherish the big achievement. The three of the main lead including Jung-eum gave their fans a sneak peek of their get-together through their respective social media accounts.
Jung-eum was away from the Korean industry for the last five months. The actress who got married to golfer Lee Young-don in February, was last seen in MBC's drama She was Pretty.
In her recent press interaction, the Kill Me Heal Me actress revealed that she was keen to join the industry quickly after the marriage. She told Allkpop: "Marriage is marriage, and work is work.I wanted to quickly make a comeback, so I was searching for work. I really wanted to do romance. At the time, I was so into 'Descendants of the Sun' that it made me want to act."
She added: "I am thankful that I'm given the lead female role even after marriage, but also grateful that I received many offers for 'roco' (romantic comedy). I ended up choosing the best one out of all the offers."
