During his child actor days, Yoo Seung-ho looked a lot like So Ji-sub. Actor So Ji-sub and Yoo Seung-ho are still good friends and have a lot of love for each other; a recent interview for 'The Battleship Island' made it clear.
As noted by website Soompi, on July 24, actor So Ji-sub sat down for an interview to promote his upcoming movie 'The Battleship Island.' Here he talked about fellow actor and friend Yoo Seung-ho, who recently starred in MBC's 'The Emperor: Owner of the Mask.'
So Ji-sub talked about Yoo Seung-ho and his enduring friendship and his growing up, saying, "He called me after the VIP press conference and said he enjoyed the movie. He's like an angel. He grew up so upright that I thought it would have been better for him to have some more fun. I'm thinking he's probably having a little more fun now."
In a recent interview with news outlet Star News, regarding 'The Emperor: Owner of the Mask,' Yoo Seung-ho opened up about his childhood, especially being a child actor. "I wouldn't recommend being a child actor. As a child actor, if you do well, it's hard to break that image [as a child actor], and if you don't do well, it's hard to continue on as an actor. When I started doing adult roles, I had a hard time and received a lot of criticism. Now that I've already gone through that, I feel more at ease and have a wider range of options to choose from," Seung-ho had said, as noted by Soompi.
Yoo Seung-ho had also added, "I didn't go to college because I didn't want to study. I said the same thing at an interview at the time, but the article excluded the part about me saying I didn't want to study and made my image better than I had intended to make it (laughs). In secondary school, I studied because my parents told me to, but I honestly didn't like studying. I still feel that way, so I have no thoughts of going to college. Maybe I'll go if I feel like studying some day."
As for enjoying his own life, So Ji-sub said, "I try to enjoy [life]. Making music and doing exercise are the efforts I've been making to do so." His first single 'Lonely Life' was released in 2008. So Ji-sub also said that being a rapper and having knowledge of music made it easier for him while acting.
As for exercising, So Ji-sub revealed that he has some ailments which makes it necessary to exercise regularly. "I like exercising so much that it's a stress reliever. I use a lot of my energy on working out. My joints aren't in good condition, and somehow they hurt more when I don't exercise. I try to work out everyday," he said.
'The Battleship island' starring Song Joong-ki, releases on July 26.
