Ben Affleck reportedly cheated on Jennifer Garner with Lindsay Shookus. The Oscar-winning actor and the Saturday Night Live producer had an affair in 2013, it has been claimed.
A source told People that the father-of-three and the 37-year-old producer "full-on had an affair. They would fly back and forth, but he would mostly visit her in New York. They didn't hide ... They would use the Mandarin Oriental [hotel]. They were regulars."
Another insider told the website: "Both of them were married at the time. They were having secret rendezvous every time he came in to New York City and other places, too. Both of them were cheating on their spouses so they were very careful about it. Jen and [Shookus'] husband both found out about it around the same time" a few years later.
Affleck and Garner officially filed for divorce in April, after a two-year seperation. The couple, who announced they are calling it quits on their marriage just one day after their 10th wedding anniversary in 2015, seeked joint custody of their children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5.
Shookus got married to Kevin Miller, a former SNL producer, in 2010. The two have a daughter together.
The Argo star and Shookus were spotted on a date night on July 6 in Los Angeles. The next day, she caught a flight out of LAX Airport.
However, a source close to Affleck and Garner denied the affair reports and said the actor and Shookus "did not date while either of them were married. They started dating when they were separated."
"They've known each other for a while. They're dating — it is relatively new. It's still in a really early stage. He's working on himself, he's working on being happy and healthy. There is not one reason why any marriage breaks up," the insider shared.
