Fans of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo can rejoice atlast. The duo, who shot to fame after starring in Descendants of the Sun, have revealed their plans to get married this year.
In the hit drama, Joong Ki plays the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, and Hye Kyo reprises the role of doctor named Kang Mo-Yeon. Rumours that they are dating started in March 2016 after the two were reportedly seen together in New York. However, Joong-ki and Hye Kyo's agencies had revealed that the couple are not an item in real life, at that time.
Adding on, the dating reports thickened after the two praised each other during several occasions. At the 11th Seoul International Drama Awards held on 8 September, Joong Ki revealed Hye Kyo sent a coffee truck to the set of his upcoming movie, Battleship Island. He said: "She not only sent a coffee truck, she sent a snack truck too. She's the best partner."
Previously, Hye Kyo admitted she enjoyed filming alongside Joong Ki and called him the "perfect male lead."
"When I read the script for 'Descendants,' I thought that the male lead would have to do a really good job for the drama to succeed," she said at a press conference in April.
"Song Joong-ki did such a good job at achieving that difficult task, and made (the character Yoo Shi-jin) charming. I would sometimes get jittery acting alongside him. I've been in the industry for quite a while now, and I see a lot of junior actors who aren't like him. (Song) works hard at whatever he does, even with all his fame. ... He did everything a male lead should do perfectly. He is a great guy," she added.
