Rihanna is hoping that her new man, Saudi Arabian businessman Hassan Jameel will help her to forget about Chris Brown. The Loyal singer and the Barbadian beauty have shared an on-and-off relationship for a long time.
A source told Hollywood Life: "The last time Rihanna dropped her guard and opened herself up like this was with Chris. He still is the love of her life. She's definitely falling for Hassan, but it's still too early to know how far they can go. She hopes he can make her trust again and forget about Chris and all the others."
Meanwhile, Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty confirmed to The Sun that RiRi and Jameel have been dating for six months. The We Found Love singer told her father about the relationship in May.
Fenty admitted he was surprised because he thought Rihanna was dating a black man. He said: "A friend sent me them on Facebook of them kissing in the pool, I was looking for someone of color, a darker color, but whatever makes her happy. He's very tall."
"She's coming back to Barbados for the festival in the first week in August, and I imagine she'll bring him with her," he said. "The family would like to meet him, and I want grandchildren soon!"
"She told me she had a new boyfriend about a month ago, but I didn't know who he was. I always tell her, 'Don't date an entertainer, don't date an athlete,'" he said. "They are busy going this way and that way, they don't have any quality time, and they're good looking guys so women fall all over them."
"I didn't know he was a billionaire," he said. "Too little money, or too much money can't make you happy, you need to something in-between."
Fenty also shared some words of advice for Jameel. He said: "He's going to have to buckle up, she's a hard-working girl, she's very independent and ambitious. Nobody can tell her what to do. She doesn't want to be lifted up, she wants to get up there herself. Hopefully he's a little bit more liberal and has spent more time in Europe and South America."
