The winners of BET Awards 2017 were announced at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 25. The award ceremony came to an end after hours of star-studded performances, electric reunions and tributes, and several speeches that stood out for their eloquence and poignance.
Kendrick Lamar was announced as the best male hip-hop artist of the year, while Beyoncé topped the list with five awards. Bruno Mars, Migos, Chance The Rapper, Remy Ma were also awarded at Sunday's event. BET Awards 2017 named Bruno Mars as the best male R&B/Pop artist of the year.
Meanwhile in the acting category, How To Get Away With Murder star Viola Davis and Moonlight fame Mahershala Ali grabbed the winners' trophy. Serena Williams and Stephen Curry bagged the awards in the Sports category.
