Korean boy band Seventeen will be releasing a new album as they embark on their comeback to the entertainment world. Video teasers of the members under the "2017 Seventeen Project, Chapter 1: Alone" have been released by Pledis Entertainment.

The agency confirmed that the videos point to the boy band's comeback this year, which is set on May 22.

"The video is a way of announcing a comeback in a different way from the past. It hints at the new aspect of Seventeen that will be shown in the new album," said the agency, according to the Korea Herald.

Seventeen is composed members Woozi, Vernon, Dino, S.Coups, Jeonghan, Jun, Hoshi, DK, Wonwoo, The8, Seungkwan, Joshua and Mingyu.

This will be Seventeen's fourth mini-album and fifth overall. Last December they released the album "Going Seventeen" with the title track "Boom Boom."

In addition, Seventeen are also embarking on their first world tour called "Diamond Edge."

The cities, dates and venues of the world tour are the following: Seoul (South Korea), July 14-16, Jamsil Auxiliary Stadium; Saitama (Japan), July 26 and 27, Saitama Super Arena; Bangkok (Thailand), August 5, Thunderdome; Hong Kong, August 12, Asia World Expo Hall 10; Chicago (Illinois, US), August 18, Rosemont Theatre; Dallas (Texas, US), August 23, Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie; Toronto (Canada), August 25, Massey Hall; and New York (New York, US), August 27, Terminal 5.

Other cities in the tour are Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), September 9, Stadium Negara; Jakarta (Indonesia), September 23, Ice Hall 3A; Singapore, September 29, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre Hall 601-604; Taipei (Taiwan), October 1, Xinzhuang Gymnasium; and Manila (Philippines), October 6, Mall of Asia Arena.

Last year, Seventeen held their first Asia tour titled "Shining Diamonds," which was held in Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.

Since being launched in 2015, Seventeen have become a popular idol group in Korea and Asia. Their awards include World Rookie and Hot Performance Awards at the Gaon Chart Music Awards in 2016 and 2017; Disc Bonsang at the 2017 Golden Disc Awards and Bonsang Award at the 2017 Seoul Music Awards.
