Many mundane things we usually do may play a vital role to bring us close to death faster. It doesn't mean we are to remove such habits from our lives entirely, but we should maintain limitation on whatsoever we are doing.

Here are five preventable things that you are doing daily that could shorten your lifespan:

Sitting down for more hours every day

Sitting down and relaxing is a fundamental part of your life, but if you go beyond that expectation, there is a lot of negative effects on your health. The study has found out that if you sit more than three hours per day in the same place, two years of your life can be cut off.

Even the regular exercise that you do to maintain a healthy body cannot deter the potential bad effects of sitting for a longer duration.

"Sitting for more than 11 hours a day increased the risk of death b 40% over the next 3 years, compared to sitting for less than 4 hours a day," said study.

Neglecting friends

People who are weak in socializing have a higher chance of dying faster than their counterparts, found a research. The researchers have stated that staying alone can be as bad as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. However, people who have large circles of friends have remarkably fewer chances to die young. Socialising with friends or relatives is most important factor in your life as it helps to improve brain health, thus increasing a life expectancy.

Sitting in front of television for long stretches of time

According to Harvard researchers, sitting and watching TV for two hours daily can increase risk factors of premature death, heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes.

The negative effects of sitting down while watching television actually surpass the potential effects of sitting more in the same place.

"Every single hour of television watched after the age of 25 reduces the viewer's life expectancy by 21.8 minutes," found New York Times.

Eating too much of unhealthy food

To have a healthy body, you are supposed to consume both vegetables and animal products. Even over-eating of all such healthy foods may shorten your life lifespan. It doesn't mean that you have to eradicate the habit of these foods, but you should the right measure to eat.

One of the studies explained that over-eating of more red meat seems to shorten life expectancy by as much as 20%.

Putting up with annoying co-workers

According to researchers at Tel-Aviv University, "Peer social support, which could represent how well a participant is socially integrated with his or her employment context, is a potent predictor of the risk of all causes of mortality."

Lack of strong relationship with your co-workers can potentially reduce your lifespan. Whenever you quarrel with your co-workers, you may feel down on yourself or maybe get angry, however, indirectly it is shortening your lifespan.
