A good news and a bad news for the gamers out there. Good news - Zelda Breath of the Wild might not be the only Legend of Zelda game launching this year, there will be more. Bad news – the new Zelda game would not be coming on the Wii U or Nintendo Switch. Instead, the games will be launched on iOS and Android.
While this might be welcomed by the said OS users but hardcore gaming fans won't be very happy.
A report from The Wall Street Journal claimed that mobile developer DeNA is developing the new Zelda game. However, it is yet unclear that what form this mobile version of new Zelda game would take.
Reportedly the mobile Zelda game will be released a short while after the launch of Animal Crossing, which is slated to make its debut in the current financial year.
Fortunately, Nintendo has made sure that the Zelda fans don't run out of games this year including two Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC packs, starting with the Master Trials add-on.
Master Trials DLC will be launched this summer and it is said to include the Trial of the Sword game mode that gives players the task of fighting through 45 rooms filled with enemies, reported Daily Express.
"Link starts without any armour or weapons, and if he can defeat all of the enemies in the room, he can proceed to the next area. When Link clears all of the trials, the power of the Master Sword will be awakened, and it will always be in its glowing powered-up state while usable," reads its official description.
Other items in DLC will include the Travel Medallion for fast travel, additional armour that's available from hidden treasure chests, and a Korok Mask.
Zelda based board-games will also be introduced in the market and the first one will be The Legend of Zelda Cluedo Board Game, which will be available from May 31, 2017. However, Zelda Clue games will be limited to North America, for now.
