Ubisoft is bringing a video game to market, based on James Camron's masterpiece Avatar. This epic science fiction movie was not only critically acclaimed for being a visual treat and a master class in storytelling, it turned out to be one of the biggest money spinners that the cinematic universe has come across. Thus, Ubisoft, the French multinational video game publisher, is bringing back the world of Pandora so that it can be explored and enjoyed once again.
The company is going to partner up with Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Interactive to make this a possibility. While Ubisoft will take the reins to recreate Pandora, the minute details of the same are going to be taken care by their development Studio Massive Entertainment. After all, they were the brawn behind the great open world of Tom Clancy's The Division.
There is already buzz doing rounds on how this game will pan out. The minds behind the game understand the rising amount of expectation cinema goers and gamers alike are going to have for this one. David Polfeldt, MD, Massive Entertainment is quite confident of this partnership, as he said, "It's a privilege to work with them and we're honoured that they've entrusted us to create an experience worthy of the Avatar name."
They already have the vote of James Cameron and he is going full-hearted for this venture. Cameron passed his nod to the game by saying "What impressed me about Massive were the group's passion for this project and the power of its Snowdrop engine. I believe Ubisoft's team and Massive Entertainment are absolutely the right partners to bring the beauty and danger of Pandora to life."
