At least 26 people were injured in an accident involving two lorries in Tuas on Monday morning in Singapore. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the wounded people have been taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for medical treatment.
According to SCDF, it was informed about the accident along the junction of Tuas Crescent and Tuas South Avenue 5 at 6.35 am. Channel NewsAsia reported that the resources were immediately dispatched to the scene and the officers freed "two trapped victims", who are reportedly stuck in the cabin of one of the lorries, using a hydraulic spreader .
Channel NewsAsia reported that one of the lorries that was waiting at the traffic lights on Tuas South Avenue 5 was rear-ended by the other one. The injured belonged to the vehicle that rear-ended the other vehicle in front of it.
The police said that the investigations are still going on.
