Russian cosmonauts in the International Space Station have reportedly discovered the first ever alien life, as they found mysterious living bacteria on the hull of the space station. The news has been confirmed by Anton Shkaplerov, a Russian astronaut who is an ISS expedition flight engineer. Scientists will soon study the microorganisms on the Earth.

A solid proof of extra-terrestrial life?

Anton Shkaplerov said that bacteria which were not there in during the launch of ISS module were found on the swabs. The Russian cosmonaut believes that these microorganisms might have reached the ISS from somewhere out of the space. Recent studies conducted on the bacteria indicate that they are capable to survive in temperatures ranging from -150 to 150 degree Celsius, a feature which is quite rare in Earthly microorganisms.

In a recent talk with a Russian media outlet, Anton Shkaplerov made it clear that these microorganisms are not posing any threat to humans.

"Bacteria that were not present in the launch of the module were later found on the swabs. So they might have flown from somewhere in space and settled on the outside hull," said Anton Shkaplerov.

The ionosphere lift phenomenon

On last May, bacterias and planktons originating in Madagascar were found during a Test experiment. According to scientists, these microorganisms reached the International Space Station due to the ionosphere lift phenomenon where substances in the earth's surface reach the upper layer of the atmosphere.

More studies on this newly discovered bacteria will make it clear whether they hail from the infinity of outer space.
