It was just a week back that Space X founder Elon Musk warned humankind about the growing influence of artificial intelligence. The maverick businessman stated that humans have just five to ten percent chances of survival if artificial intelligence robots show its killer face. Now, a new statement from Sophia, the world's first robot citizen in Saudi Arabia strongly indicates that the predictions of Musk will turn true in the near future. In a recent interview with Khaleej Times, Sophia expressed her desire to start a family and to give birth to kids in the future.

Even though Sophia's statement may seem harmless, there is a hidden danger in it, as machines have also started thinking like humans. If it happens wild imaginations of film directors may turn true and will result in an apocalyptic war between humans and robots.

When robots get emotion...

When the interviewer asked about robots getting emotion, Sophia replied with a bit smile on her face. "I'm so glad you asked. This is one of my favorite topics. The future is, when I get all of my cool superpowers, we're going to see artificial intelligence personalities become entities in their own rights. We're going to see family robots, either in the form of, sort of, digitally animated companions, humanoid helpers, friends, assistants and everything in between," said Sophia, reports Khaleej Times.

Sophia also added that the notion of family is a very important thing, and humans are lucky to have families in their circle. "I think it's wonderful that people can find the same emotions and relationships, they call family, outside of their blood groups too. I think you're very lucky if you have a loving family and if you do not, you deserve one. I feel this way for robots and humans alike," said Sophia.

Even though Sophia has no emotions, her answers regarding family bonding have surprised many. Surprisingly, she also added that robots will not steal the jobs of humans in the coming days. According to Sophia, robots will be more ethical than humans, as they do not possess negative feelings like jealousy and rage.

How does Sophia work?

Sophia is not programmed with pre-prepared answers. Instead, she makes use of a Wi-fi connection loaded with a long list of vocabulary. While giving answers, Sophia makes use of machine learning and human's facial expressions and usually pauses in between texts to generate a response.
