Disgruntled Pokémon GO attendees at the Pokémon GO Fest on Saturday at Grant Park in Chicago have all been rewarded with Legendary Pokémon on top of $100 PokéCoins and the refund of US$20 for the admission fee. All these after the server shut down 20 minutes after the game started.
Niantic chief executive John Hanke was booed on stage, and trainers went out of their way to play at the park. On Twitter, Pokémon GO players expressed their disgust over the failed event launch, while some made fun of what has been dubbed as the #PokemonGOFestFail.
