OxygenOS 4.0.1 Nougat OTA for OnePlus 3T
Check out the manual fix for Play Store bug and data connectivity issues on OnePlus 3T

OnePlus 3T users are in for some good news as the OnePlus team has just rolled out the OxygenOS 4.0.1 OTA update with manual instructions to fix the Play Store bug. Curious users may also check the full changelog for the new 4.0.1 update in the screenshot above, before proceeding with the installation.

As The Android Soul reports, several users of OnePlus 3T are reportedly complaining about failed app download attempts due to the presence of specific apps such as Truecaller, AVG Antivirus and PayTm. Consequently, the OnePlus team has advised all affected users to uninstall or force-stop the above mentioned apps to circumvent the problem as there is no official fix yet.

The app download issue is said to be persistent when the affected device enters data roaming mode. Affected users could try manually resetting the APN to temporarily fix the problem. However, there doesn't seem to be any viable fix for dropped Wi-Fi connections while accessing data over a network.

Currently, the OxygenOS 4.0.1 update is being rolled out in phases, while the OnePlus community is actively working on a permanent fix to resolve the Play Store bug and other data connectivity problems on the 3T handset.

The OnePlus 3T is poised to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. However, if you are running Marshmallow on your 3T, you can go ahead and install the OxygenOS 4.0.1 update directly, skipping 4.0 altogether.
