Novak Djokovic takes on Kyle Edmund in the second round of BNP Paribas Open 2017 at Indian Wells on Sunday.
The defending champion heads into the tournament on the back of a quarter-final exit at Acapulco last month. The world number two, after winning the season-opening title in Doha, in which he defeated world number one Andy Murray to take the crown, has not been at his best and will look to get back to winning ways in the star-studded field in the ongoing tournament.
On the other hand, Edmund was decimated in the first round of Acapulco by eventual champion Sam Querrey.

Djokovic's biggest setback of the season came when he crashed out of the Australian Open in January after losing to lower-ranked Denis Istomin in the second round. After featuring for Serbia in the Davis Cup World Group opener, the Serb went down to his familiar foe Juan Martín del Potro in Acapulco.
With a chance of avenging his defeat to the Argentine in the next round in Indian Wells, the second seed will be geared up to make amends to what has been an ordinary season so far. And there is no better place for the five-time champion than California to get back to form.
Standing in his way is the 22-year-old Brit, who has not started the season well after having a dream year in 2016, in which he broke into the top-100 and finished in the 40s. Edmund, who reached the fourth round of US Open last year, was ousted from Australian Open in the second round shortly after his loses in Brisbane and Sydney. With a 7-6 record this year, the world number 46 faces a stiff test against Djokovic, who did beat him twice in 2016.
