Nintendo America has officially announced that the SNES Classic Edition is finally hitting the shelves on 29 September for US$79.99. The retro mini console comes with 21 classic games. Nintendo, however, leaves off some great games.
The SNES Classic Edition stocks have been doubled this time, according to Nintendo. This is to prevent shortage that happened to NES Classic Edition which until now has been too difficult to find anywhere.
The forthcoming console comes with two wired controllers, an HDMI cable, an AC adapter, and a USB charging cable. The controllers make the experience even more exciting in multiplayer games.
Of the 21 games due for release, one has never been played with any Nintendo console. Star Fox 2 will be hitting SNES Classic Edition for the first time as it was cancelled before, which later became available as an ROM.

- Final Fantasy III
- Mega Man X

- F-ZERO
- Star Fox
- Star Fox 2
- Kirby Super Star
- Kirby's Dream Course
- Secret of Mana
- Super Castlevania IV
- Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
- Super Mario World
- Super Metroid
- Super Punch-Out!!
While many Nintendo fans are excited of the offering, some have been downtrodden with the announcement as some favourite classic titles were not able to make the cut. Here is a list of classic Nintendo games that are not included in the future release.

These games may not be available for now, it remains uncertain if Nintendo has plans to roll them out after the release of the console in September.
