Following the end of this year's biggest event for the video game enthusiasts, the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017, various publications and organizations have published their statistics about the event. If these numbers are to be believed then it seems like Microsoft and Ubisoft have left everyone else behind this year.

In terms of having the highest social media presence, it looks like, among all the press conferences at E3, Microsoft's one took the cherry away. People talked about it the most on social media, reported social analytics firm Brandwatch. According to the report that tracked down around 2.7 million English-language mentions of E3 2017, Microsoft's press conference managed to dominate about 44% of all those social media mentions. However, the analysis didn't specify if those mentions were mostly positive or negative.

The unveiling of the company's latest next-gen gaming console Xbox One X and the showcasing of much-anticipated Assassin's Creed Origins and BioWare's new IP Anthem definitely helped Microsoft to gain that massive traction on social media.

Other than Brandwatch, now YouTube and Twitch have also released their numbers and without a surprise, Microsoft tops their charts as well. Ubisoft and PlayStation came next to Microsoft's press conference.

On Twitch Microsoft pulled in a whopping 1.1 million views, which much more than last year's 818k. Ubisoft came second on the platform with around 986k views and PlayStation stands at a close third position with 962k views on Twitch.

Microsoft's press conference beat everyone else on YouTube as well, where it garnered 2.3 million views. Interestingly PlayStation came next with 1.3 million views, which is way above that Ubisoft's 624k views on YouTube.

PlayStation

Assassin's Creed Origins not only dominated the social media but also made quite an impression over YouTube as well, where the game's trailer became the second most-watched video from the E3 event.

Xbox

The crown for the most-watched video from the event, on the other hand, went to EA's Star Wars Battlefront II. The publisher's FIFA 18 came in third, followed by Call of Duty: WWII. Sony Santa Monica's God of War got the number five position in the list.
