Apple's next-gen flagship phone touted as 'iPhone 8' aka 'iPhone Edition' is expected to feature a stainless steel frame that's inspired by the Apple Watch design, wherein the phone's stainless steel casing will be sandwiched between two pieces of glass. The device's branding will be based on Apple Watch special edition and hence it carries the moniker of 'iPhone Edition'.
Additionally, the next-gen iPhone will feature a vertical iSight Duo camera with support for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications.
Among other rumoured features, the iPhone 8 aka iPhone Edition is expected to include an OLED edge-to-edge (bezel-less) display with integrated Touch ID and wireless charging. Mac Otakara also confirms the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus handsets in the making, which will be the budget variants of the existing iPhone 7 models.
In related news, Pacific Crest analysts have reported in their recent research note that the iPhone 8 release could be delayed due to an inherent technical glitch in the making of the highly-rumoured optical fingerprint sensor for the next-gen flagship device.
