Avid iOS jailbreakers are in for some disappointment as Apple's newly released iOS 9.3.2 update fixes a number of bugs and exploits rendering all existing jailbreaks unusable.
It has been a while since the jailbreak community witnessed a working jailbreak for removing manufacturer limitations on their iOS device. There has been no hack or jailbreak exploit in sight ever since Apple patched up vulnerabilities in iOS 9.1 that were part of Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.0 through iOS 9.0.2.
Although the Chinese jailbreak developer team, Pangu, had recently rolled out an updated version of their jailbreak for iOS 9.1, it has been further patched up in subsequent versions of iOS 9.2, iOS 9.2.1, iOS 9.3, iOS 9.3.1 and iOS 9.3.2.
Meanwhile, Apple has stopped signing all firmware versions which are older than iOS 9.3.1 to discourage jailbreakers from downgrading their device from iOS 9.3.2.
However, the veteran members of the jailbreak community have successfully jailbroken all the beta iterations of iOS 9.3, including the final beta version.
Luca Todesco aka qwertyuiop who had earlier demoed the iOS 9.3 jailbreak has confirmed that he will not be releasing a public version of his hack tool.
On the positive side, it is still likely that either Pangu or TaiG team could unleash the next iOS jailbreak for the public. With Apple expected to release iOS 10 with further security patches at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June, it would be a wiser option for the jailbreak developers to hold back the exploits for future use, especially for major releases like iOS 10.
