Rockstar Games has recently hinted at the forthcoming DLC content and updates for GTA Online on its Newswire while announcing the new set of double money and RP bonuses in the game starting 31 January to 13 February. As part of the promotional campaign, Rockstar has also offered 50% discount on executive offices and 25% off on special DLC vehicles like the Turreted Limo, Buzzard and Cargobob.
The game maker has also explained its plans to crackdown on cheaters while also declaring the deadline for completing your game-progress transfers from last-gen consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360) to PS4, Xbox One or PC, before 6 March.
Meanwhile, prolific YouTuber MrBossFTW (aka Ross) has thrown more light on the probable DLC content coming to the game after the Bonus Event weeks expire on 13 February, which is the day before Valentine's Day.
So, it is anybody's guess that Rockstar would update its Tunables on 14 February, which happens to be a Tuesday and an ideal day to roll out the next DLC for GTA Online.
As Ross explains, the game maker has already begun a lot of updating on the QA beta branches in its bid to fix broken features and known bugs in the game, ahead of the highly-anticipated Valentine's DLC release for 14 February.
This theory is further strengthened by the fact that Rockstar had done similar updates to the QA beta branches previously. It must be noted that both the regular version of the QA beta and the QA beta 2 have been updated on 1 February, as pointed out by Ross.
Furthermore, Ross clarifies that Rockstar had updated the QA beta page for about 6 to 8 times, which is rather unusual for a maintenance update. Consequently, it is almost certain that a new DLC update is already in the making.
According to one user named 'Jesus Freak' on GTA forums, Rockstar has posted one massive update to the QA beta page followed by another smaller CPL update on 1 February, which is not quite the size of import/export DLC, but still a significant one. The user goes on to add that it is probably a submission for Steam, Microsoft and Sony to get their approval for the upcoming Valentine's Day update.
Meanwhile, the renowned tipster 'Funmw2' has revealed some fresh details on what the next GTA Online update could be. He adds that a new Launcher update is in the pipeline, as per the recent changes made to the QA beta branches on the steamdb website.
Furthermore, the tipster suggests that the new Launcher update should be a bug-fix update, especially given its smaller file size. It is, however, not yet clear if the bug fixes are meant to address cheaters and hacker problems or patch-up existing glitches in GTA Online.
If Rockstar is working on the glitches, we would eventually see the changes being added to the changelog on the support website. On the contrary, any changes made to the anti-cheater system will not be revealed publicly as it would give away the patch information to the hackers and modders in the game, allowing them to devise new hacks and cheats for GTA Online.
