Display: While the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has a 4.30 inch touch-screen display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels, the Galaxy Tab S3 sports a 9.7-inch 1536 x 2048 Super AMOLED display, which displays brighter, richer colours.

Processor & storage space: Powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 comes with 1GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 upped the game by incorporating a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor of Qualcomm along with a 4GB RAM. In terms of storage space S3 comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card, whereas, S2 was packed with only 8 GB internal storage expandable till 64 GB via microSD card.

Battery: Galaxy Tab S3 doesn't disappoint in the battery department either, as it sports a massive 6,000mAh battery, while the Tab S2 has a 1650mAh removable battery.

Camera: As for the cameras, Galaxy Tab S2 features an 8 MP primary camera on the rear and a 2 MP front snapper for selfies. Tab S3 sports a 13 MP autofocus snapper on the back and a 5 MP front camera for selfies with a front-mounted fingerprint reader. Also the 13 MP rear camera of Tab S3 is capable of shooting 4K videos.

Other features: As for the other features Tab S3 has an optional 4G/LTE and it is the first Galaxy tablet to come with quad stereo speakers tuned by AKG by HARMAN for premium visual and listening experiences. And the most significant of all, inclusion of the S Pen is a big bonus for S3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 also has some extra features, such as, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, FM, 3G and Sensors on the phone including Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
