The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), through their Facebook post, revealed that fire has broken out in a warehouse at Sungei Kadut warehouse. As per SCDF, the fire which gulped the three-storeyed building at 65 Sungei Kadut Loop began in the early hours of Tuesday, October 17.
As of now, no casualties have been reported due to the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and agencies are now conducting investigations to know the trigger which caused the accident.

Soon after the fire broke out, the SCDF was alerted, and a team rushed to the spot with 65 Sungei Ka3 fire engines, two Red Rhinos, and eight support vehicles. One unmanned firefighting machine and one ambulance also reached the spot to carry out the rescue mission.
The firefighting started at 1.30 AM, and by 3.30, the fire in the three-storeyed building was extinguished.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force shared some pictures of their firefighting on their official Facebook handle. Local residents in the area are now praising the SCDF for their timely action which helped them to avoid a tragic incident in case the fire got spread to neighboring buildings.
A Facebook user named Jun Qing lauded the timely action of SCDF and said that a similar fire accident had happened in the area around a year back.
Recently, an E-Bike blast occurred at Block 231, Bukit Batok East Avenue 5, which injured four people, including a baby. At that time too, it was the timely action of the Singapore Civil Defence Force which prevented further casualties.
