Apple's much-anticipated TV app with live sports integration will finally be hitting iPhone, iPad and Apple TV devices very soon. The TV app will include the existing support from ESPN.
Apple has been gearing up for the release of live sports integration in the TV app on iOS and tvOS devices, which is set in December. Back in September, the California-based tech titan demoed the said feature on Apple TV for the first time.

Live sports on the TV app is expected to help boost the popularity of these devices. For many sports fans, this will make streaming of sports events around the world mobile, allowing them the flexibility to leave the couch.
The live sports integration is said to arrive in the TV app as part of iOS 11.2 on or around December 4, according to 9to5Mac. On Apple TV, this will be part of the tvOS 11.2 update.
The live sports integration will also push alerts for close games so viewers can switch to those that currently at play. Part of the update is the new Sports tab with the latest sports categories display according to the event date. Aside from the US, the release will also take place in more countries before the year ends.
Apart from ESPN, more sports channels are expected to be on board the new update to compete with existing competitors like Hulu, PlayStation Vue and more. Apple might also be going head to head with the Kodi app, a popular source of live sports that offers free streaming of contents around the world.
The final iOS 11.2 update will also arrive with Apple Pay Cash, new iPhone X wallpapers, AirPlay 2 and Control Centre modifications. The final tvOS 11.2 update will also bring the new HDR and frame rate features to Apple TV 4K.
