Apple is widely speculated to release a second-gen wearable or Apple Watch 2 sometime later this year as the company aims at unleashing a slimmer and smarter wearable with built-in GPS and Swim Tracking features.
The second-gen Apple Watch will also incorporate a set of useful fitness tools for tracking runs, walks and bike rides apart from Swim Tracking capability for fitness enthusiasts.
According to 9To5Mac quoting Japanese website Macotakara, users will no longer need to use an iPhone to activate GPS capabilities on their Apple Watch 2.
There are no other details regarding the Apple Watch 2 specifications, availability of colours or price at the moment. However, several reports point to an end of the year announcement or release for Apple's next-gen wearable device.
