Apple has just rolled out a minor bug-fix update for iTunes with build number 12.4.1 which is now available for download via Mac App Store. The new update fixes all known bugs found in the previous release of iTunes (v12.4).
Check out the official changelog for the latest iTunes update (below):
This update addresses a number of problems where iTunes doesn't work as expected with VoiceOver. It also restores the option to Reset Plays and fixes the following issues:
- Up Next may have unexpectedly played songs added together in the incorrect order.
- iTunes was prevented from crossfading between songs.
Apart from adding some VoiceOver improvements, the new update fixes the inconsistency in playing songs in the correct order when using Up Next option in iTunes. It also patches up a known bug that disables the crossfade effect between songs as they transition from one track to the other.
Mac users can get this update via Updates tab in the Mac App Store or install the same using the banner notification generated by your Mac's automatic software checking service.
Then you can click Update or Update All button right next to the update description in the notification to start installing it to your computer. Note: This method of updating does not require a restart, unlike the regular OS X system updates.
