At least 18 people died on Sunday after a large tree fell into a pool crushing people enjoying a day out at a popular beautiful waterfall spot in Ghana. According to the police, the incident took place while several people were bathing in at the base of a waterfall.
The waterfall, located near the town of Kintampo, was extremely busy with weekend day trippers. Reports said many of them were students.
Desmond Owusu Boampong, a local police commander said nearly 20 people have been admitted to the hospital and are being treated.
