Speculation is rife that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be ready for a public announcement at the upcoming event of Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) at Barcelona. The rumour has gained further momentum after a Twitter user 'Ricciolo' claimed that the flagship smartphone will be present at the MWC on 29 March.

The tipster has also suggested that the highly-anticipated galaxy device will not be showcased to the public at the event. He has quoted "Little bird" as the source of this intriguing bit of information.
It is now deemed that only select media persons will be able to lay their hands on the coveted device at the MWC as it is strictly barred from public viewing.
Furthermore, the tweet also claims that the highly-anticipated phone will be launched worldwide at the Samsung Unpacked event sometime in the 17th week of the year or between 24th and 30th April 2017.
Beyond all reasonable doubts, the device is expected to be priced around $849 for the base model, at the time of launch.
Given the purportedly powerful hardware on the Galaxy S8 comprising the Snapdragon 835 chipset (driven by an Octa-core CPU) and the Adreno 540 GPU capable of mobile VR, Samsung is all geared up to set the MWC stage on fire, if these rumours indeed turn out true.
Among other highly-rumoured features, the Galaxy S8 is expected to include a new fingerprint scanner and a native AI assistant, besides a dual camera.
