A 15-year-old girl from Singapore, who attended a New Jersey boarding school, died while she was skiing at Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania.
WNEP-TV quoted the officials at the Shawnee Mountain Ski Area near East Stroudsburg saying that the incident happened when Juliette Dajani lost control and struck an orange safety fence. She skided off the bottom of a trail on January 9.
According to the resort officials, Dajani was staying at the resort for a team event with her school. Later, the Monroe County coroner identified her school as Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey.
Although the resort and the coroner's office did not disclosed any information about Dajani's hometown, but it was confirmed that she was from Singapore. The coroner said her death was caused due to blunt force trauma injuries.
The authorities from the boarding school did not respond to the calls regarding the incident.
