A car driver died in a multi-vehicle collision during the morning rush hour on Monday in Singapore along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) in the direction of Tuas.
A video that was posted on social media showed the accident involved at least four cars and a motorcycle. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was informed about the accident at around 8 am and four ambulances, a fire engine, a Red Rhino, two fire bikes and a support vehicle was immediately dispatched to the spot.
SCDF personnel extricated the man as he was trapped in the driver's seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the SCDF paramedics team. Three other people, who were injured, were taken to National University Hospital and the SCDF alerted the hospital to be on standby to receive those injured in the accident.
