A mysterious Xiaomi smartphone with a full-screen design, which is rumored to be the upcoming Xiaomi R1, was spotted fully-functioning in a subway in China. The image of the phone that is said to be the first one from the new "R" series of smartphones went viral on the internet.
The leaked hands-on images show a clear Xioami R1 kept inside a case having very thin bezels on the sides resembling full view (with 18:9 aspect ratio) screen-based Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.
According to reports, the new device is said to be a mid-range smartphone. People are expecting the upcoming phone to be priced around $227 (€191).
Although, there is no word on key internal hardware, the images reveal that the Xiaomi R1 will have Type 2 micro-USB port with two single-grille speakers on both sides in the bottom. The Xiaomi R1 is expected to feature a rear fingerprint scanner as well.
Xiaomi is expected to unveil its much-in-leaks Redmi Note 5 smartphone with a full-screen design before the end of the year.
