Facebook has just announced a set of 1500 new emojis for the Messenger app with a bunch of gender-specific and multi-coloured options. The new emojis are reportedly standardised for a uniform look and feel across all platforms including Windows, Android and iOS.
Broken-looking black boxes and senseless emojis are a thing of the past as the fresh set of emojis brings a new flavour to the art of instant messaging on Facebook.
Facebook Messenger now debuts a plethora of gender-specific options like a female police officer, runner, surfer, pedestrian and swimmer. Besides, one can choose their favourite skin colour or tonality and set them as the default when the Messenger launches.
The preferred settings and emojis will take over precisely at the moment when any user logs into his/her Facebook account. One can now pick their favourite emoji icons by using the emoji picker through the Messenger composer.
Here is how you do it:
Just tap the new emoji icon at the left of the composer to browse through the list and then choose whatever suits your requirement.
The new emojis are expected to release worldwide in the next 24 hours, and the updated Messenger app can be downloaded for free via the App Store for iOS and Play Store for Android.
