Samsung has just started rolling out the highly-anticipated Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with build number N915FYXXU1DPE1 for the factory unlocked Galaxy Note Edge in Europe.
The update weighs just under 1.5GB and brings a bunch of new features and security patches from the monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR), reports SamMobile.
Curious users may head over to the Settings app > About Device and choose Software Update to check if the new Marshmallow update is available on their device.
If the update is listed, you can just hit the Update Now button and follow the onscreen prompts to complete the over-the-air (OTA) installation via Samsung's servers.
Alternatively, you can wait for the automatic OTA notification which will allow you to download and install the update. However, a manual search and download are preferable as the automatic notification may take a little longer than expected.
In related news, Samsung has just rolled out a bug-fix update for Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with firmware version FXXU1APE9, which resolves a bunch of issues including power saving mode not working when Google Now is operational, recorded videos flickering during playback (for first few seconds) and the inability to save files to the phone's SD card.
The update also brings an improvement to Always On Display feature on both the galaxy phones. Interested users can download the update right away by navigating to Settings > About Phone on their device.
