It appears that Google's next flagship Pixel device will hit the market a quite soon now, i.e., in October this year. According to prolific and often accurate leak source Evan Blass, The Pixel 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 mobile system-on-a-chip and it will be out by little over a month.
As per the previous rumours, this upcoming Google Pixel smartphone will look like a solid-follow up of Google's premium pixel phones, which the company had debuted with.
The company will be taking out both a standard and an XL version of the forthcoming Pixel phone, which could be called Pixel 2 or maybe anything else. The reports also add that it would also feature an AMOLED display with thinner bezels up front surrounding the screen of the device with a narrower 2:1 aspect ratio, just like the one we have seen on the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. Google Pixel 2's 6-inch AMOLED display on the larger XL version will be provided by LG, say reports.

That smaller standard version of the Pixel 2 will have thicker bezels than the larger one, and it will feature a 4.97-inch 1080p display. Reportedly, one notable change in the device could be the front-facing speakers, which would surely improve the sound quality of the phone. Another significant addition could be that the phone will have 'squeezable' sides, which, once pressed would activate Google Assistant.
The Pixel 2 may incorporate a 4GB of RAM along with 64GB internal storage space, according to some rumours. The camera will receive some upgrades too, mainly towards the software. Another leak suggests that the company might, this time, drop the headphone port, which Google had actually highlighted as a feature differentiator with the iPhones last time.
Last year the predecessors of Pixel 2, Google Pixel and Pixel XL were launched at an event on October 4. It is likely that this year the forthcoming devices will be released on October 5.
