The game, which became a worldwide phenomenon, Pokemon Go, turns one in a few days. The creators of the game that has kept users hooked to their mobile screens, Niantic Labs, has announced that they will be celebrating the one year anniversary with various in-game and in-person events.

Pokemon Go events have been giving the users the right amount of bonuses to keep them hooked to the game, and if anything, the event, which is lined up to be the first big one is called Solstice Event and operates on the same note. The event will be an in-game program, which is scheduled on 13th of June. This event would provide the users of the game with XP bonuses and Lucky Eggs on discount and will include both Fire and Ice-type Pokemon.

The first in-person or real life event is scheduled on 22nd of July, 2017 and is called Pokemon Go Fest Chicago. Although no information about the prices of tickets and schedule of the event are known as of yet, the ticketing would start on June 19th, 2017.

Some other events are also planned for Europe, which is scheduled between July and September, although no details have been released yet. Japan, the home ground, too will witness an event titled "Pikachu Outbreak" in Yokohama, which is scheduled in August.

Another significant news announced by the creators is a new update, which will enable collaborative gameplay. The collaborative gameplay is hailed to be a "new way" to play Pokemon Go, but no further details were revealed. It will affect the in-game gyms since they would be closed down for a while. Rumours are that the creators are giving the gym an update to keep a check on the cheating with the introduction of a raid. The game became a worldwide phenomenon because of the unique ways in which it operates like the chance it gives people to meet one another in the real world, and not only play against each other in the game.
