After the summer event clue for Pokémon GO dropped by a Niantic executive at the 2017 Webby Awards last 15 May in New York City, a leak has recently made its way to the public. But this time, the leak brings full details of what is coming up for the game this summer.

Fire and Ice event

Team Eeveelution yesterday took Twitter to announce that Pokémon GO will have the Fire and Ice-type events to celebrate the forthcoming solstice, which means summer begins in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Team Eeveelution is known to be a reliable source on anything Pokémon GO.

Before the Water Festival event was confirmed by Niantic back in April, the group was first to provide the public with information pertaining to the event. The group's tipster has been speculated to have access to Pokémon GO's official social media accounts as the inside information the group spilled prior to the April event was leaked in verbatim.

Leaked details

According to the details leaked, the mechanics of this event will be pretty much similar to previous ones. Pokémon GO will double up the spawn rate of Fire and Ice-type Pokémon. For the first time, however, these Pokémon creatures will begin to brood across the globe as the event kicks off. Among the Pokémon mentioned are Charmander, Magmar, Cyndaquil, Cloyster, Growlithe, Sneasel, Vulpix, Swinub, Poynta, and Houndour.

Along with this event if the big XP bonuses that will be up for grabs. These will be given as rewards for completing event-related tasks. The Nice, Great, and Excellent Poke Ball throws, in particular, give the extra XP. An XP bonus will also be given in every successful Egg hatched. The will discount Lucky Eggs by 50 percent.

The Fire and Ice event will commence on 13 June until 20 June.
