A 62-year-old driver was killed and 45 people were injured after a passenger vehicle swerved and flipped across a Japanese highway and crashed into the bus in the oncoming lane on Saturday.
Footage of the camera that was mounted on the bus showed the car soaring from the other side of the highway and slamming against its windshield. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
A spokesman for the local highway police said that most of the 47 passengers on the bus received slight injuries with six people sustaining fractures. "They are all non-life threatening injuries," he told AFP.
The accident took place on the Tomei Expressway in Aichi prefecture in central Japan. After the accident, traffic on the Expressway was suspended between Toyokawa Interchange and Mikkabi Junction.
