Thomas Cup 2016
Defending champion Japan have been eliminated from the Thomas Cup after their defeat at the hands of Denmark. On the other hand, hosts China were defeated by South Korea in the other quarter-final. 13-time winner Indonesia are one step closer to extending their record for 14th time this year as they sealed a semi-final berth.
So far, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Denmark have made it to the last four of the tournament. The first semi-final will be held between South Korea and Indonesia, while Denamrk will take on Malaysia in the second semi-final. The winner of these two matches will face each other in the final.
Uber Cup 2016
Host nation China are the defending champions and have won it for a record 13 times. They have made it to the semi-final of the tournament after defeating Chinese Taipei on Thursday. China will now face India in the first semi-final of the Uber Cup.
Meanwhile, the other two semi-finalists are South Korea and Japan, who will face each other in the second semi-final. Korea made it to the last four after defeating Indonesia, while Japan defeated Denamrk to make it to the final four.
