The company spent its formative years as a platform to watch movies, ever since it made an entry into the race of binge-watching sites.
Here is a list of six new shows premiering on October on Netflix, right from Stranger Things 2 to The Mist: Season 1.
Stranger Things 2
Netflix is back with Stranger Things 2, as it is a perfect bill for Halloween. The trailer promises its loyal fans more of 80's horror spectacles, coupled with cool science fiction. Thriller, Ghostbuster and Dragon's lair will join the gripping parallel universe of Upside Down. The show will also feature the comeback of Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven.

Cleverman season 2
One of the most talked shows is making its mark in Netflix, after its success in ABC TV. The series is set in a dystopian future, where powerful characters are based on Aboriginal mythology. The Hairy people are in constant battle for their own survival in a world constantly ruled by fear and hatred. The show follows how the cleverman attempts to unite culture by harnessing his immense power.

Bonus Family (Bonusfamilijen): Season 1
Netflix has bought the first two seasons of hit Swedish drama series "The Bonus Family"(Bonusfamiliejn) for global distribution. The series features four characters who have gone through the pain of separation and now face new challenges, as they start their lives afresh with their new partners. The show highlights the uphill task of bringing up children.

Foster season 5
The show revolves around an interracial lesbian couple Stef Foster and Lena Adams , who foster a girl and her younger brother while trying to juggle raising up Latino twin teenagers and Stef's biological son.

The Mist: Season 1
Mist is one of the darkest series to hit Netflix of late. The show is adapted from Stephen King's novel of the same name and is based on a plot in which the residents of a small town must battle a mysterious mist and its threats in order to survive.

Haters Back Off season 2
Netflix is back with the second series of Haters Back Off Season 2, it will feature eight episodes surrounding the oddball family life of Sings, a confident, untalented star on the rise, who continues to fail upward by the power of belief. The season had made its debut in 2017 on the streaming service.
