West Midlands Police has praised two plain clothed police officers who chased down a machete-wielding man in Birmingham on 13 September, 2016. Footage uploaded to West Midlands Police YouTube account on 2 August shows a man brandishing a two-foot long blade and approaching the two police officers. Police state that the man wielding the machete was a 20-year-old who shouted at the pair come on Ill chop you up.
