Singapore's Changi Airport said passenger traffic grew 8.1 percent in October, helped by growth at its South Asian markets.
Changi Airport handled 5.16 million passengers in October compared to 4.77 million passengers in the corresponding period last year.
India accounted for about 22 percent of total passenger movements during this period followed by China and Thailand at 19 percent and 13 percent, Changi Airport Group said in a media release on Thursday.
Guangzhou, Penang, Bangkok and Taipei were the three fastest growing routes for the month, among the 20 busiest routes, it said.
Aircraft movements for the month stood 3.7 percent higher at 31,730 landings and take-offs, with cargo shipments registering a growth of 5 percent to reach 185,800 tonnes.
As of November 1, more than 100 airlines operated at Changi Airport, connecting Singapore to some 380 cities in about 90 countries and territories worldwide.
