A Singaporean man has been arrested by Indonesian authorities in Bali after he was found to possess crystal methamphetamine and ecstasy pills.
The suspect was arrested by the customs and excise authorities in Ngurah Rai International Airport.
The 42-year-old man, who is reportedly working as a cabin crew with a major Singapore airline, was travelling to Bali on vacation.
The man, who has been booked for attempting to smuggle drugs into Bali, will face a jail term of up to 15 years if found guilty.
The man arrived on Singapore Airlines flight SQ 948 at Ngurah Rai airport on Friday, AsiaOne reported.
The anti-drug authorities recovered 1.47 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 2.09 grams of ecstasy pills from his wallet upon investigation.
"He brought them into Bali as he wanted to use them during his vacation," an official said.
The suspect will be charged under Article 113 of the 2009 Narcotics Law.
Indonesia has been in the limelight in recent times for multiple execution carried out for drug offences.
According to Indonesia's Attorney General's Office, almost 152 people are on a death row in Indonesia. The list includes convicts from the Philippines, France and Britain.
This year, the authorities have plans to execute nearly 16 prisoners and in the next year the number will be more than double.
Indonesia has some of the world's toughest drug laws, and it has faced severe criticism internationally for resuming executions.
In July, Indonesia executed four drug convicts, including three Nigerians, despite of massive protests.
